It's been a while since I've worked on the project but it's because I've been a little preoccupied with trying to finish my thesis. Well today, I successfully defended my thesis. To celebrate, I came home and took a nap. A little bit later though, I went out in the garage and did some work! I started out the evening by using some RTV to prevent chafing between the ribs and the conduit. This should prevent vibration between the two by essentially gluing them together. While this stuff is better than Proseal because it is premixed in a little tube and doesn't smell like death, it still is pretty messy and by the time I put this on the conduits in both wings my hands looked like they belonged to a smurf. I put it on both sides of the rib to try and get a good bond. I then moved on to dimpling the inboard bottom skins for both wings. It felt good to get back in the garage and do some work!
