To begin the day, I put the conduit in the right wing and then threaded a string down the conduit. That will make it easy to get the wires run when I get them. Also, I cut holes in the conduit. I put two in the left wing, one for the heated pitot power wires and one for the autopilot servo wires, and one in the right wing, one for the autopilot servo wires. There is actually only a need for one autopilot servo but I don't know which wing I want to put it in yet so I just added previsions for wires in each. After that I dove into the aileron stiffeners. My I forgot how much I do like making stiffeners... Here they are as they come from the factory. Then they are rough cut from the pieces of angle. And here they are after being completely cut out. All these trimmings mean I probably built up some serious hand strength during this work session. They have rough edges and sharp corners after being cut out so I took them to the bench grinder and smoothed the corners. The grinder creates burs along the edges so then I deburred all 32 aileron stiffeners. Lots of work and not much to show for it but now they are ready to be drilled to the aileron skins. Days like today make me really excited that I own a bench grinder!
