I was going pretty strong working on the project every night for quite a while but this last week or so some cold weather has set in as well as I've been trying to finish up writing my thesis so I haven't exactly been itching to get out in the garage and work. Today though, I realized I had felt my hands for four straight days so I needed to go get them really cold and numb in the garage. I started the flaps and I'm tired of cutting my hands up so I deburred all the ribs and the spars for these puppies. Then when that was done, I drilled the ribs to the spar and clecoed the assembly to the skin. If you look closely, the end rib on the right is angled away from the others. Not to worry, though, the plans say this is normal. The skin that is clecoed on in the first picture is the bottom skin. The top skin is curled over the spar and then comes down the ribs and then bends under the flap. This leaves a space under the tips of the end ribs between the skin and the rib. To fill this gap, I made some spacers. They only have one hole in them now but will get match drilled to their ribs later on.
