Empennage :: Rudder
Drilled, deburred, dimpled rudder skeleton
4 Hours

Well it's been a week since I did anything because I went home to Lubbock for Thanksgiving! It was a great weekend: Erin came in from pilot training at Columbus AFB and spent the week with us, my sister, her husband and their daughter came in from DFW and I got to see the rest of my family as well as some friends I hadn't seen in a while.

Back to the project, I clecoed together the rudder skeleton and match drilled all the parts. There are a surprising number of parts in this bad boy, especially down in the bottom of it.

Here's a close up of the intricate bottom of the rudder area.

After drilling the skeleton, I took it back apart and deburred the parts, dimpled the parts and called it a night.
