I wanted to be done with rolling the leading edges on the empennage so tonight I finished up rolling the left elevator leading edge and then riveted that bad boy. Here's two shots of the leading edge all rolled and clecoed: And here are two more with the rivets all set: This leading edge rolling turned out the best of all the three in the empennage kit. A good tactic I think is to "over roll" the edge that will go on top and then "under roll" the edge that will go underneath. These are just slight, mind you. Also, make sure they still both meet easily over the middle of the spar. This way they have a little bit of force between the overlapping edges. This helps the edge lay flat and not pillow in between the rivets. I'm glad to have the rolling of leading edges done for quite a while. (Forever? Not sure if the flaps and ailerons have leading edges that need to be rolled...)
