Wings :: Tanks
Drilled fuel caps, started deburring parts
1.5 Hours

Tonight was a pretty easy night on the project. I drilled the fuel caps to the tank skins. I tried to line them up last night but was too tired so I quit and did it today. It's very subtle the bend in the cap flange but eventually I eyed which way it needed to go. The next tricky part was getting it clamped to the skin and lined up in the middle of the hole. I think the picture shows that I nailed it!

I did this for both tanks and then started deburring. I deburred the tank stiffeners and the outsides of the holes in all the tank ribs. I'm waiting on the bigger clecos that I ordered yesterday. Hopefully they will be here tomorrow so I can continue working on the inboard tank rib riff raff. Pretty soon now there won't be anything left on the tanks but a huge amount of deburring/dimpling and then sealing them shut!
